Job summary

Thimble Alterations is seeking an experienced bridal seamstress to work one-on-one with brides through the entire alteration process. This independent contractor role will have bookings provided through our platform, with the freedom to set your schedule and rates within platform guidelines.

You will conduct fittings for wedding gowns, customize gowns to fit each bride, and manage related attire including bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride outfits.

Qualifications

• Experience in bridal alterations with a portfolio or references preferred.
• Comfort working with high-value gowns and ensuring precise fittings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first, second, and final fittings for wedding gowns with brides.
• Customize gowns (hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline, sleeves).
• Create bustles tailored to design and bride’s preference.
• Handle bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride gowns and ceremony attire alongside main gown.
• Guide brides through timelines and expectations for the day.
