Job summary

Thimble Alterations LLC is seeking skilled bridal alterations specialists to join our network as independent contractors. You will tailor wedding gowns, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride/groom gowns, handling hems, bustles, bodices, zippers and related details with precision.

You will take measurements during fittings, communicate timelines clearly, and deliver high-quality finishing while maintaining an organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precise measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency.
• Professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
• Work with structured bridal gowns (layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace for fittings.
• Handle requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
