Job summary

The Boston Beer Company invites applications for an Assistant Manager, Brewing Quality Assurance at the Samuel Adams Brewery in Breinigsville, PA. You will lead the Quality Mission of the Brewing Department and partner with brewing teams to improve processes and ensure product quality.

Requirements include 3–5 years in an analytical lab within a Lean manufacturing setting, supervisory experience, and proficiency with GC, spectrophotometers, and densitometers.

Qualifications

• Education (required): 4 year/Bachelor’s Degree in related science: Chemistry, Microbiology or Food Science.
• 3-5 years experience in an analytical laboratory in a Lean Manufacturing environment (brewing preferred).
• Analytical testing experience using GC, spectrophotometer and densitometer.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong communication skills; proficient with Excel, Word, Access and Outlook.
• Work overtime as needed which may require 12-hour days, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Analyze quality, microbiological, sensory, and process data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions.
• Support 24/7 brewing with final quality approval for product release.
• Promote a culture of quality excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain GMPs, HACCP, and site quality systems; train staff accordingly.
