Founders Brewing Co. in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Brewing and Cellar Operations Specialist to oversee beer production from ingredient handling to finished product.

The role requires hands-on experience with brewing processes, SOP adherence, and strong teamwork. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in production brewing or cellar operations, a focus on safety and quality, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalency required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Production Brewing and/or Cellar Operations.
• Experience in sanitary food or beverage processing.
• Good candidates must fit in with our enthusiastic and hardworking team environment.
• Must be a great communicator.
• Must possess a mechanical aptitude.
• Candidates should be serious about safety, quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Operates, cleans, and sterilizes all associated equipment and media supplies.
• Follows SOPs in wort, beer and yeast pitching operations from ingredient delivery to bright beer.
• Reviews brewing and cellar schedule for upcoming brews.
• Mills specified grains and adjuncts based on production orders.
• Prepares hops, brewing salts, adjuncts, and other materials ahead of time.
• Maintains inventory levels and traceability with WMS.
• Performs routine quality checks on materials, wort, beer, yeast and finished product.
• Communicates changes with Brewing and Cellar Managers.
• Supports flexible working hours including some off shifts and weekends.
