Firestone Walker in Paso Robles, CA, is seeking a Packaging Maintenance Technician to set up, troubleshoot, and repair packaging lines. The role keeps packaging equipment running with minimal downtime and may require night shifts and weekends.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of maintenance experience, with strong mechanical, electrical, and safety skills. Health benefits, PTO, and 401(k) are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; four years of maintenance mechanic experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, plans, drawings, and schematics.
• Proficient in lock out/tag out procedures and safe packaging equipment repairs.
• Strong knowledge of metal/mechanical systems, electrical and instrumentation basics.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain packaging equipment.
• Perform daily inspection of packaging lines.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and complete PMs on packaging equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and electronic problems.
• Document completed tasks and conduct shift turnover.
• Provide emergency unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
