BBQ Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Brewhouse Operator to produce wort and maintain brewing equipment and the facility. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and quality across the brewing process.

You will perform brewing operations, clean and maintain equipment, assist yeast propagation, manage inventory, and collaborate with Lab Technicians to ensure product quality. A strong team player with physical stamina and adherence to SOPs is essential.

Qualifications

  • Must have planning and project management abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Passion and commitment for brewing.
  • Able to lift heavy objects (e.g., 50 pound bags) above five feet.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Able to enter and exit brewery vessels for cleaning and inspection.
  • Work in environments of 32 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Understand MSDS and handle chemicals used in brewing.
  • Able to multitask and work both unsupervised and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Complete brewing process safely and efficiently across milling, mashing, lautering, wort boiling, cooling and transferring to storage vessels.
  • Repair brewery equipment with assistance from Brewhouse staff.
  • Complete daily cleaning and maintenance checklists.
  • Assist with yeast propagation following Company process.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas in the brew house.
  • Coordinate with Lab Technician to ensure product quality.
  • Follow standard operating procedures unless otherwise instructed.
  • Communicate regularly with Granite City staff.
  • Maintain inventory and report low levels to supervisor.
  • Arrive on time with a positive attitude.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is primarily responsible for producing wort and maintaining brewing equipment and facility.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Complete brewing process in a safe and efficient manner. This includes, but is not limited to, milling, mashing, and lautering, wort boiling, cooling and transferring to Storage vessels.
  • Repair brewery equipment with assistance from other Brewhouse employees.
  • Completion of daily cleaning and maintenance checklists
  • Aid with yeast propagation following Company's process.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas in the brew house.
  • Work with Lab Technician to ensure our product meets our standards of the highest quality.
  • Maintaining the use of standard operating procedures unless otherwise instructed.
  • Communicate regularly and efficiently with Granite City staff.
  • Maintain inventory as needed. Report any low levels of inventory to your supervisor when necessary.
  • Arrive to each shift on time with a positive attitude.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Perform others duties as assigned.
Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicles Records background check
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends and holidays
