Job summary

Thrive Therapies is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in classrooms and school settings. You’ll collaborate with teachers, families, SLPs, PTs and other specialists to advance students’ participation and development.

In this role you will conduct evaluations, develop individualized IEP goals, and provide individual and small-group OT. Thrive leverages AI-supported documentation tools and a multidisciplinary team to back your work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in OT from ACOTE-accredited program.
• NBCOT (OTR) certification in good standing.
• Active state OT license or initiation of licensure transfer.
• Knowledge of IDEA, the IEP process, and educational OT model.

Responsibilities

• Conduct school-based OT evaluations and re-evaluations.
• Develop individualized, functional IEP goals.
• Provide individual and small-group occupational therapy.
• Support fine motor, sensory, self-care, and classroom participation needs.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Consult with teachers and paraprofessionals on accommodations and strategies.
• Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary school teams.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and progress notes.

What You'll Bring

• Knowledge of IDEA, the IEP process, and the educational model of occupational therapy

School-based experience, sensory integration training, and experience with AAC or assistive technology are preferred.
