Job summary

Unified Mammography Services, a division of Unified Women’s Healthcare, seeks a Breast Ultrasound Technologist for a part‑time float role serving the Las Vegas and Henderson offices. You will perform breast ultrasound exams, ensure image quality, and support patient care across our network.

The ideal candidate is ARDMS registered with 2+ years of breast sonography, able to operate PACS/RIS, and fluent in English.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registered sonographer is required.
• Must obtain within 6 months of hire: ARDMS Advanced Breast Registry or ARRT Breast Sonography certification.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Breast Sonographer.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Experience in imaging environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound and ensure the transducer captures images correctly.
• Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients to avoid confusion.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterilize the room.
• Evaluate images for quality and interpret findings.
• Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.

Position Title

Unified Mammography Services is seeking a Breast Ultrasound Technologist Part‑Time Float for its Mammography office at an affiliated practice in Las Vegas and Henderson, NV.

Location and Office Hours

Office Hours: Monday‑Wednesday 8 am – 5 pm, Thursday and Friday 7 am – 4 pm

Office Hours: Mon‑Thu: 8 am – 5 pm, Fri: 8 am – 1:30 pm.

Work Schedule

Two days a week at Lake Mead and coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform the ultrasound and ensure the transducer (probe) is capturing images correctly.
• Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients to avoid confusion.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterilize the room in which the procedure takes place.
• Evaluate the images for quality, and interpret what the image captured.
• Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team.
• Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
• Work closely with the Mammography technologists and Radiologist to ensure the capture of appropriate information and prior imaging.
• Review all prior images and reports before completing an exam.
• Utilize PACS, EMR, and any other systems related to imaging.

Additional Job Functions

• Attend Unified and UMAMS meetings.
• Complete all assigned compliance and education requirements.
• Assist in special projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Training of other technologists as needed.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registered sonographer.
• Must also have, or be eligible to obtain within six months of hire, an ARDMS Advanced Breast Registry or ARRT Breast Sonography certification.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Breast Sonographer.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
• Previous experience working in an imaging environment is highly desirable.
• Proficient in PACS and RIS Systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English as required by job duties.
• Must be able to understand and follow safety instructions provided in English.
• Role requires reading and writing in English to complete documentation, reports, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interact with customers, clients, or regulators in English as needed.

Compensation Minimum

USD $51.00 per hour.

Compensation Maximum

USD $52.00 per hour.
