Job summary

Unified Mammography Services is seeking a Breast Ultrasound Technologist for a part-time float position at multiple Mammography offices in Las Vegas and Henderson, NV. Two days per week at Lake Mead location with coverage as needed.

Responsibilities include performing ultrasound exams, explaining procedures, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and documentation.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registered sonographer.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Breast Sonographer.
• Eligible to obtain ARDMS Advanced Breast Registry or ARRT Breast Sonography certification within six months of hire.
• Proficient in PACS and RIS systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams and ensure correct image capture with the transducer.
• Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients to avoid confusion.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterilize the exam room.
• Evaluate image quality and interpret findings.
• Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.
• Maintain patient records and add related notes in EMR.
• Work with Mammography technologists and Radiologist to capture relevant information.
• Review prior images and reports before exams.
• Utilize PACS, EMR, and imaging-related systems.

Location and Office Hours

Office Hours: Monday-Wednesday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Work Schedule

Two days a week at Lake Mead and coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing the ultrasound and ensuring the transducer (probe) is capturing images correctly
• Explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients to avoid confusion
• Maintaining ultrasound equipment and sterilizing the room in which the procedure takes place
• Evaluating the images for quality, and interpreting what the image captured
• Presenting images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team
• Maintaining patient records and adding medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure
• Work closely with the Mammography technologists and Radiologist to ensure the capture of appropriate information and prior imaging.
• Review all prior images and reports before completing an exam
• Utilize PACS, EMR, and any other systems related to imaging

Additional Job Functions

• Attend Unified and UMAMS meetings
• Complete all assigned compliance and education requirements
• Assist in special projects
• Other duties as assigned
• Training of other technologists as needed

Qualifications

• ARDMS registered sonographer
• You must also have, or be eligible to obtain within six months of hire, an ARDMS Advanced Breast Registry or ARRT Breast Sonography certification.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Breast Sonographer
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Previous experience working in an imaging environment is highly desirable
• Proficient in PACS and RIS Systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively in English as required by job duties
• Must be able to understand and follow safety instructions provided in English
• Role requires reading and writing in English to complete documentation, reports, and compliance requirements
• Ability to interact with customers, clients, or regulators in English as needed

Compensation

Minimum: USD $51.00/Hr.

Maximum: USD $52.00/Hr.
