Job summary

Unified Women’s Healthcare in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform imaging and quality control within a 2–3 day per week schedule (7:45 am – 4:00 pm). You will ensure equipment functionality, coordinate with radiologists, and maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

MQSA/ACR compliance and ongoing CE are required. Candidate must have ARRT Registration, Mammography Certification, and an Associate’s degree or Radiologic Sciences program completion.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences program.
• ARRT Registration R.T.(R) required; Mammography certification (M) required.
• State Radiation Control license where applicable.
• Minimum two years of mammography experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively in English and follow safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography imaging and quality control procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammographic exams.
• Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork.
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.
• Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
• Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times.
• Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements.
• Adhere to continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA.

Work Schedule

This position is for 2 to 3 days per week. 7:45 am - 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for applying analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information.
• Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork.
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.
• Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
• Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times.
• Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements.
• Adhere to and maintain continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA.

Additional Job Functions

• All other job requests as assigned by the Mammography Operations Manager, Director of Imaging Operations, or Care Center Administrator.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand and follow safety instructions provided in English.
• Role requires reading and writing in English to complete documentation, reports, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interact with customers, clients, or regulators in English as needed.

Compensation Minimum

USD $40.00/Hr.

Compensation Maximum

USD $50.00/Hr.
