Job summary

Carol Milgard Breast Center is seeking a Diagnostic Ultrasonographer to perform breast ultrasound exams in accordance with ARDMS standards and ethics. You will work to provide quality imaging, accurate documentation and effective patient interaction in a center focused on compassionate care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program, ARDMS registry eligibility (preferred for Breast/OB-GYN), current BLS, and ability to travel to other sites.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program.
• ARDMS registry eligible or Abdomen & OB/GYN registries preferred.
• Breast, Vascular, MSK, NT and pediatrics registries are a plus.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for ultrasound exam and explains procedures clearly.
• Obtains patient history related to the exam being performed.
• Reviews orders to determine optimal scanning parameters and explains risks.
• Able to perform examinations of the Breast with accuracy.
• Present ultrasound findings to Radiologist in a professional manner.
• Assists Radiologist with interventional procedures as requested.
• Maintains documentation, imaging and archiving for patient files.
