Job summary

TOPS Comprehensive Breast Centers in Houston, TX, is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist with breast imaging expertise. The role involves travel to sister centers (Willowbrook, Kingwood, Red Oak, The Woodlands) and performing diagnostic breast ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
• Current ARDMS (RDMS) in Breast with breast ultrasound experience.
• Minimum 1 year of breast ultrasound experience.
• Texas licensure (if applicable).
• CPR (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic breast ultrasound exams, including targeted and whole-breast screenings.
• Assist with breast ultrasound-guided interventional procedures (biopsies, cyst aspirations).
• Ensure high image quality while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
• Document and report findings into PACS and EMR systems.
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean, organized state.
• Adhere to ACR, HIPAA, and facility guidelines.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and staff for efficient patient care.

• Perform diagnostic breast ultrasound exams, including targeted and whole-breast screenings
• Assist with ultrasound-guided interventional procedures, including biopsies and cyst aspirations

• Accurately document and report findings into PACS and EMR systems
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean, organized, and functioning state
• Adhere to all ACR, HIPAA, and facility guidelines and protocols
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and support staff to ensure efficient patient care and workflow
• Provide clear instructions and emotional support to patients throughout procedures

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
• Current certification by ARDMS (RDMS) in Breast (BR) with relevant breast ultrasound experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in breast ultrasound
• Current Texas Medical Board licensure (if applicable)
• CPR certification (BLS) required
