Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine in area of specialty.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience.
• CPR required.
• BLS required.
• ACLS and/or other relevant certification as required by the department.
• Board certification/eligibility in area of specialty.
• Demonstrated ability to promote professionalism through involvement in professional organizations, teaching, research, and/or publishing.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the life span and age-specific needs, per patient population.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient files, allergies, meds, and immunizations.
• Interviews patients for health history and current issues.
• Examines patients for symptoms and physical findings.
• Orders and analyzes tests and diagnostic imaging.
• Analyzes results to diagnose conditions.
• Prescribes and administers treatments and medications.
• Discusses side effects and plans with patients.
• Documents visits including history, exams, diagnoses, and plan.
