Job summary

Summit Health Management's Breast Surgery team in Clifton, NJ is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, and NPs. You will prepare examination rooms, manage patient flow, obtain vital signs, and document in the EHR with accuracy.

Responsibilities include scheduling, updating medication lists, assisting with referrals, and ensuring safe medication handling. Per diem schedule allows flexibility, with patient-centered care at the core of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• MA certification required; BLS within 30 days of hire.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English; basic computer skills; multitask.
• Willingness to commute to satellite offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain examination rooms; escort patient to room.
• Take vital signs and document in EHR; ensure accurate records.
• Assist in scheduling, exams, and referrals; manage messages.
• Provide scribing services and patient education as needed.
• Adhere to universal safety precautions and waste disposal.
