Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Breast Surgery team at the Plano West location. This full-time role Monday-Friday 8:15am-5:00pm includes no weekends, call, or major holidays, and supports patient flow, exams, and procedures under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a CMA credential (or progress toward), current BCLS, and experience in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current BCLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to/from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record vital signs, height/weight, allergies, and medications.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and assist with exams and procedures.
• Administer injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain infection control and room disinfection protocols.
• Answer phones and coordinate physician schedules.
• Enter orders under provider direction when appropriate.
