We re seeking a skilled Breast Surgeon to provide comprehensive diagnosis and surgical treatment for breast conditions, aligning with our population health care coordination mission. The role involves screening, diagnosing, and performing procedures such as biopsies, lumpectomies, and mastectomies,

Qualifications

• MD/DO with NY license or eligible for licensure.
• Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship training strongly preferred.
• Board eligible or board certified in General Surgery (AB Surgeon).

Responsibilities

• Provide screening, diagnosis, and surgical treatment for breast conditions: benign lumps, pain/discomfort, nipple discharge, retractions, areolar changes, and breast cancer stages. Procedures include core biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, excisional biopsy, lumpectomy, and mastectomy.
• Oversee multidisciplinary coordination with oncology, radiology, plastic surgery, and genetic counseling for cancer cases.
• In Office biopsies
• Participate in breast cancer tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives consistent with recognized standards (e.g. Commission on Cancer or National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers).
• Teach or mentor other medical professionals as part of Essen s integrated workforce.

Education

MD or DO with valid NY State medical license (or eligible for licensure)

Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship training strongly preferred or equivalent expertise

Board eligible or board certified in General Surgery (American Board of Surgery)
