Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school or DO/MD program.
• Board certification or eligibility in breast surgery or general surgery as applicable.
• Active DEA licensure or eligibility to obtain post-hire.
• Mass DPH controlled substances registration or eligibility to obtain post-hire.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical assessments of patients with specialized breast conditions.
• Develops and implements a care plan; prescribes medications, exercises, and treatments as needed.
• Collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to manage patient care and ensure continuity.
• Acts as liaison between primary care and surgical specialists for coordinated care.
• Educates patients and groups on health care needs and participates in education programs.
• Contributes to development of educational programs for patients and staff.

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions.
• Develops and implements a plan of care for these patients, as well as prescribe medications, exercises and/or other treatments.
• Collaborates with the clinical and administrative teams in the management of patient care. Maintaining continuity of care through the exchange of information with outside health and social agencies.
• Serves as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists such as general surgeons, urologists, orthopedic and ENT surgeons. Consults with primary care providers on issues related to patient care.
• Teaches and counsels individuals and groups with regard to specific health care needs. Serves as an educator in areas of specialization.
• Participates in the development of health education programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine
• Board Certified or Bord Certified Eligible
• Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations
• Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $333,500 - $557,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
