Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, seeks an Endocrinologist to join our South Easton, MA team. This role offers the resources and support of a national health system while preserving local care community collaboration.

You will perform physical assessments, develop plans of care, collaborate with clinical and admin teams, serve as liaison between PCPs and specialists, and contribute to health education programs, advancing value-based care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Endocrinology.
• Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions.
• Develops and implements a plan of care for these patients, including medications, exercises and other treatments.
• Collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to manage patient care and maintain continuity of care with outside health/social agencies.
• Serves as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists (surgeons, urologists, orthopedic and ENT).
• Teaches and counsels individuals and groups on specific health care needs; acts as an educator in areas of specialization.
• Participates in development of health education programs.

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions.

• Develops and implements a plan of care for these patients, as well as prescribe medications, exercises and/or other treatments.

• Collaborates with the clinical and administrative teams in the management of patient care. Maintaining continuity of care through the exchange of information with outside health and social agencies.

• Serves as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists such as general surgeons, urologists, orthopedic and ENT surgeons. Consults with primary care providers on issues related to patient care.

• Teaches and counsels individuals and groups with regard to specific health care needs. Serves as an educator in areas of specialization.

• Participates in the development of health education programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine

• Board Certified or Bord Certified Eligible in Endocrinology

• Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $227,000 - $373,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
