Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond seeks a board-eligible or board-certified Radiation Oncologist focused on breast oncology. The role will serve as the primary radiation oncologist at Hanover Medical Park and Community Memorial Hospital satellite facilities, providing consultative and external beam radiotherapy.

The position welcomes clinical research and teaching residents, fellows, medical students, and other trainees.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree completed via an ACGME-accredited program.
• Ability to provide excellent clinical care across a broad range of disease sites in a multi-disciplinary oncology setting.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships to establish and maintain strong referral patterns.
• Experience fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a diverse population, or commitment to do so as a VCU affiliate.

Responsibilities

• Clinical/Service: provide breast oncology-focused radiotherapy services at Hanover Medical Park and Community Memorial Hospital satellite facilities.
• Research: engage in scholarly activities and participate in national meetings and academic organizations as appropriate.
• Administrative/Other: participate in departmental service-related activities and committee work.
