Job summary

VCU Health's Department of Radiation Oncology seeks a board-eligible or board-certified Radiation Oncologist with a strong interest in breast cancer management. The role centers on serving as the primary breast oncologist at the Hanover Medical Park satellite and providing care at the CMH site in South Hill, with collaboration across our regional facilities.

Clinical teaching of residents, fellows and medical students is encouraged.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an ACGME-accredited program.
• Ability to provide excellent clinical care across a broad range of disease sites in a multi-disciplinary setting.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain strong referral patterns.
• Commitment to professionalism and civility with diverse patients, faculty, staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical breast oncology services as the primary radiation oncologist at Hanover Medical Park and support CMH satellite facility.
• Take occasional responsibility for other disease sites during rotations or coverage.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and teaching activities for residents and trainees.
• Engage in scholarly activities or research when funded.
