Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Radiation Oncology seeks a board-eligible or board-certified Radiation Oncologist with an interest in breast oncology management. The physician will serve as the primary radiation oncologist at Hanover Medical Park satellite and provide support at Community Memorial Hospital, joining a cohesive, collaborative team across facilities.

While focused on breast cancer, clinicians will rotate to other cases and participate in multidisciplinary tumor

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree completed via an ACGME-accredited program.
• Ability to provide excellent clinical care across a broad range of disease sites in a multi-disciplinary oncology setting.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships in order to establish and maintain strong referral patterns.
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of patients, faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an affiliate faculty member at VCU.

Responsibilities

• Clinical/Service: Time and effort [98%] devoted to clinical services, including a broad radiation oncology practice and external beam radiotherapy as a primary oncologist at satellite facilities.
• Research: Reasonable scholarly activities; publications, national presentations, and participation in academic organizations as appropriate.
• Administrative/Other: Time and effort [~2%] for departmental service-related activities such as committee work and professional development.
