Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse in Virginia to serve as the primary operational contact for the department. This role will support managers and physicians, ensure proper staffing, and oversee training and competency checks across sites.

The position requires active RN licensure in the work state and CPR/BLS certification, with a preferred Bachelor’s Degree and about 2 years in related practice. Strong leadership and staff development skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the work state (required).
• Current CPR/BLS (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Acts as day-to-day operations lead and point person for the department.
• Updates staffing matrix weekly and communicates coverage issues to Practice Managers.
• Communicates changes in department workflows and enforces policies and procedures.
• Prepares reports, gathers staff feedback, and contributes policy input.
• Leads the interview and hiring process for new clinicians with oversight from Managers.
• Ensures training materials are up to date with policy changes through coordination with Trainers.
• Conducts quarterly site visits to oversee office compliance and staff engagement.
• Manages office supply ordering, inventory oversight and management.
