AstraZeneca seeks an experienced Medical Science Liaison to lead the US Medical Affairs Oncology program for Breast Cancer. You will shape local strategy, engage with oncologists, MDTs, and key opinion leaders, and feed insights to inform our R&D plans while fostering collaborations with academia and hospitals.

The role requires advanced scientific training, 2+ years in MSL or similar roles, strong communication, and the ability to travel 40–60% domestically.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced scientific degree required (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP).
• Ability to express ideas clearly in writing, one-on-one conversations and small group dialogues.
• 2+ years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience.
• Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols.
• Basic understanding of healthcare system, trial methodology, statistics and regulatory environment.
• Excellent project management ability.
• Ability to travel (40-60% domestically).

Aufgaben

• Act as the local medical leader developing a tailored strategy for USMA priorities.
• Develop relationships in academia, hospitals, managed markets and private practices.
• Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists and MDT members.
• Lead peer-to-peer scientific/medical interactions.
• Gather insights on treatment landscape and barriers to optimal care.
• Discuss data with KOLs to inform R&D strategy and education gaps.
• Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences.
• Collaborate with Clin Ops on trials from feasibility to execution.
