Job summary

Fairfax Breast Center in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams, prepare and position patients, and ensure imaging meets radiologist standards. This PRN role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, evenings, or call, prioritizing patient comfort and high-quality imaging.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required.
• Virginia Radiologic Technologist license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Mammography experience preferred.
• DXA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams.
• Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality images.
• Ensure imaging meets radiologist diagnostic standards.
• Provide clear communication and reassurance during exams.
• Follow imaging protocols and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and technologist teammates.

Education

ARRT (R) certification

Virginia Radiologic Technologist license

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
