Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in mammography for the Burlington facility. This part-time role involves performing screening and diagnostic mammography, reviewing patient records, and ensuring proper labeling and documentation.

The position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team and maintain high standards of patient care. Required are Wisconsin radiographer licensure, ARRT registration, BLS certification within 6 months, and MQSA knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin and RT registration (ARRT) with BLS (AHA) within 6 months.
  • MQSA knowledge and basic radiation safety; good communication and patient service skills.
  • No experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic and intermediate screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
  • Review patient records to obtain clinical information and breast health history.
  • Adapt imaging techniques to improve diagnostic quality and evaluate image positioning, technique, artifacts and compression.
  • Label images and ensure accuracy of patient name, MRU number, and location/position.
  • Post-process images and provide radiologists with relevant patient history.
  • Maintain records and enter data into the radiology information system; assist with billing codes.
  • Assist with patient positioning and transporting duties; follow safety protocols.
