Job summary

University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics in Midvale seeks a Breast Imaging Specialist to perform a range of breast imaging procedures, provide direct patient care, and contribute to education. The role supports quality improvement and training of mammography technologists.

The candidate must hold Utah radiologic technologist licensure, ARRT Mammography registration, and obtain an RQI credential within 30 days of hire; breast imaging experience and stereotactic biopsy skills preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs breast imaging procedures using ionizing and non-ionizing methods including biopsies as needed.
• Adheres to ACR guidelines to produce optimal radiographs.
• Educates patients about procedures and breast cancer risks.
• Provides patient comfort and support throughout exams.
• Participates in departmental quality improvement.
• Trains new mammography staff.
