Qualifications

• Associate’s degree is required.
• Graduate from an accredited radiologic imaging program.
• Registered in Diagnostic Radiology through ARRT is required.
• Mammography certification through ARRT within one year of hire.
• Breast Ultrasound credential required via ARRT BR or ARDMS.
• Registry-eligible candidates must obtain required breast ultrasound certification within established timelines.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6-12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for breast imaging.
• Obtain histories and physician orders.
• Educate patients and alleviate concerns.
• Position patients to obtain diagnostic images.
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography.
• Conduct breast ultrasound examinations.
• Collaborate with radiologists for interpretation.
• Assist with biopsies and image-guided procedures.
• Maintain equipment safety and quality checks.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
