Job summary

USA Health is seeking a Mammography Services Supervisor to lead the mammography team across our Mobile facilities. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety, accuracy of imaging, and regulatory compliance while maintaining patient-centered care.

The role requires a radiologic technology registry, leadership experience, and ability to coordinate staffing, training, and performance evaluations. You will collaborate with radiologists and other departments to optimize workflow and patient

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, successful completion of an approved course in radiologic technology, and 5 years of experience conducting routine diagnostic procedures, 3 of which were in an advanced modality as applicable
  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology may substitute for up to one year of experience in conducting routine diagnostic procedures
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
  • Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Diagnostic Radiology Upon Hire Required
  • Advanced registry highly preferred for advanced modalities and may be required for certain modalities
  • Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provides daily supervision and leadership for mammography technologists and assigned support staff.
  • Coordinates staffing and schedules to ensure appropriate coverage based on patient volumes and operational needs.
  • Participates in interviewing, hiring, on boarding, orientation, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Provides ongoing feedback and addresses performance, attendance, behavioral, and competency concerns according to hospital policy.
  • Promotes teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and a positive work environment.
  • Oversees daily mammography operations to ensure safe, timely, and efficient patient care.
  • Maintains clinical competency and provides direct patient care when needed.
  • Monitors patient scheduling, workflow, wait times, productivity, and access to services.
  • Coordinates screening and diagnostic mammography services and assists with breast procedures as applicable.
  • Ensures mammography personnel meet required initial and continuing experience requirements.
  • Collaborates with radiology leadership on departmental goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Participates in hospital committees, leadership meetings, quality initiatives, and other activities as assigned.
  • Maintains readiness for regulatory surveys and inspections at all times.
  • Promotes a culture of safety and high reliability.
  • Reviews safety events, near misses, patient complaints, and operational concerns related to mammography.
  • Encourages staff to report safety concerns and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assists with equipment planning, replacement, maintenance, and capital requests.
