Job summary

Bronson Healthcare in Battle Creek is seeking a Breast Sonographer for PRN status at the Bronson Breast Health center. The role involves performing high-quality non-invasive ultrasound scans with ARDMS eligibility and adherence to sterile procedures, patient positioning, and documentation.

The position requires an associate degree in ultrasound, certification or registry eligibility, and BLS within 6–12 months.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program or a hospital-base certificate; ARDMS registry eligibility for OB/GYN/Abdomen or Breast
• BLS certification within 6–12 months after hire; registry-eligible or registered ARDMS in Breast or ARRT Breast for dedicated breast center positions

Responsibilities

• Operate high-frequency ultrasound equipment to image organs, masses, and fluid accumulations as directed by radiologist
• Position patients and prepare examination area to ensure optimal imaging quality
• Maintain sterile technique and cleanliness of procedure rooms and equipment
• Maintain accurate patient and file documentation and supply levels; report malfunctions or needed repairs
