Job summary

VCU Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging procedures, ensure high image quality, and collaborate with LIP and the care team. You will determine exposure factors, document orders, and maintain safety standards while providing patient education and mentorship in a fast-paced radiology environment.

Requirements include ARRT radiography and mammography certifications, JRC-accredited program graduation, and one year of breast imaging experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology recognized by the ARRT.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography is required.
• Current ARRT certification in Mammography is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform breast imaging procedures.
• Determine radiographic technique exposure factors.
• Receive, relay, and document imaging orders in the patient record.
• Maintain ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
• Educate, mentor, and oversee students and learners in Radiology.
