Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a part-time Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality imaging and support breast center activities. You will coordinate imaging, document in EMR/PACS, and ensure patient safety and comfort while following MQSA/ACR guidelines.

Qualifications

• Mammography procedures and positions knowledge required.
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors.
• Knowledge of MQSA and ACR regulations required.
• Ability to review prior images/films and identify areas of interest.
• Experience with needle localizations, stereotactic core biopsies and seed implants.
• Ability to train other Mammography Technologists.
• Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team.
• Read/write/speak English proficiently.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient tracking, recalls, imaging coordination.
• Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Performs quality mammography per provider orders and protocols.
• Keeps exam rooms clean, stocked and equipment QC up to date.
• Supports breast center initiatives and accreditation activities.
• Follows patient ID, consent and time-out procedures.
• Complies with MQSA, FDA and ACR guidelines including QC testing.
• Positions patients and operates mammography equipment for optimal images.
• Communicates results or next steps with radiologists and team.
• Explains procedures to patients with professionalism and empathy.
