Qualifications

• Formal training in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Valid Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) license.
• Registry or Registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Proficient in modality physics and operation of equipment.
• Knowledge of human anatomy, pathology and physiology.
• Maintains ARRT Mammography certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists in room preparation and supplies for breast imaging.
• Assists Radiologist in interventional breast procedures.
• Communicates with patients and referring physicians about appointments and delays.
• Produces images meeting quality standards per protocols.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Participates in training of students in clinical affiliations.
