Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Radiology professional to coordinate mammography quality control and assurance activities within the Breast Imaging program.

The role involves coordinating procedures across mammography, general diagnostic, Bone Density, and Interventional Breast exams, and participating in technical procedures within the Comprehensive Breast Center. Collaboration with radiology leadership ensures MQSA compliance and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• Graduate from AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current Connecticut Licensure and ARRT Radiography/Mammography; Quality Management preferred.
• Strong communication with medical and technical staff; ability to use department systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates day-to-day activity of mammography, general diagnostic, Bone Density, and Interventional Breast procedures.
• Participates in technical mammographic procedures in the Comprehensive Breast Center.
• Collaborates with the Chief Breast Radiologist to ensure MQSA compliance and monitor KPIs.
• Coordinates data collection, tracking, and reporting for Mammography and Breast Imaging metrics.

Position Purpose

Works closely with the Breast Center Supervisor and Radiologists to coordinate and perform all mammography quality control and assurance activities

What you will do

• Coordinates the day-to-day activity of patient procedures for mammography, general diagnostic, Bone Density, and Interventional Breast examinations.
• Additionally, this position requires participation in technical mammographic procedures in the Comprehensive Breast Center.
• The incumbent will work closely with the Chief Breast Radiologist and radiology management to ensure compliance with MQSA standards and to monitor key performance metrics.
• The position involves coordinating all activities related to the collection, tracking, and reporting of data and metrics pertaining to Mammography and Breast Imaging.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from a recognized approved AMA council on Education Program in Radiologic Technology, bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Licensure: Current Connecticut Licensure. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography, Mammography, Quality Management preferred.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel. Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all hospital personnel. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department’s computerized system and its associated devices. Three years appropriate technical skills in general diagnostic radiology and mammography.
