Impact Electronic Solutions in Grants Pass, OR, is seeking an Electronic Assembler, Breakout to strip outer insulation and breakout wires. You will inspect kits, read instructions, and maintain accurate traveler paperwork while supporting process improvements.

The role requires strong manual dexterity, color distinction, ability to read small print and rulers, and the stamina to sit long hours with occasional overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Able to distinguish colors.
• Able to read small print.
• Able to read a ruler.
• Excellent manual dexterity.
• Sit for eight hours or more per day.
• Able to lift and carry 25 lbs repeatedly.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
• Ability to work with arms at shoulder level for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Audit breakout kits for wires, shrink, etc.
• Give status of kit shortages to lead or supervisor.
• Read instruction sheets.
• Strip outer insulated cover from cable using a scribe to mark length and a hot knife to cut through the outer cover.
• Remove outer covering and peel foil away from wires.
• The wire bundle now exposed is "broken out", wires separated, striped, unnecessary wires removed, shrink applied.
• Fill out traveler paperwork.
• Make suggestions on improving the processes.
• Inspect other operators work as necessary.
• Perform special assignments and other duties as required.

Impact Electronic Solutions - Grants Pass Location (ESAM) - Position Description

Summary of Position:

This is an Electronic Assembler, Breakout position primarily involving stripping the outer insulation cover from a cable and "breaking out" the wires that are enclosed.

Duties:

1. Audit breakout kits for wires, shrink, etc.
2. Give status of kit shortages to lead or supervisor.
3. Read instruction sheets.
4. Strip outer insulated cover from cable using a scribe to mark length and a hot knife to cut through the outer cover.
5. Remove outer covering and peel foil away from wires.
6. The wire bundle now exposed is "broken out", wires separated, striped, unnecessary wires removed, shrink applied. Various tasks performed according to paperwork.
7. Fill out traveler paperwork.
8. Make suggestions on improving the processes.
9. Inspect other operators work as necessary.
10. Perform special assignments and other duties as required.

Schedule:

• Monday- Friday 5:00am-1:30pm
• OT is required, as needed. OT Hours: Mon-Thursday 2 hours immediately before/following shift, and Sat.
