Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Salinas, CA seeks a Breakfast Attendant to provide friendly, efficient service in the hotel’s complimentary breakfast area. You will greet guests, maintain clean dining spaces, assist kitchen and service teams, and ensure accuracy in menu presentation and beverage preparation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, the ability to pass a responsible serving course, and a willingness to learn hotel standards

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Willingness to work varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet legal age to serve alcohol and pass responsible serving training (TIPs) as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a timely, courteous manner.
• Maintain high standards of appearance and proper uniform.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of breakfast area and service spaces.
• Assist in beverage preparation and basic food service tasks as required.
• Handle cashiering tasks and closing checks when applicable.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and support other team members as needed.
