Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville Downtown is seeking a Breakfast Server for AM and weekend shifts to join our guest-focused Food & Beverage team. You will greet guests, take orders, mentor new servers, and help maintain a positive dining room environment during busy shifts.

Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years of serving experience, outstanding customer service, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while delivering attentive service. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of restaurant serving experience.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership abilities with mentoring or training experience.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all requests are met to guest satisfaction.
• Assist in training and mentoring new servers on procedures and service standards.
• Address guest complaints professionally and escalates issues to management when necessary.
• Monitor the dining area to ensure smooth service and address disruptions or issues.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and staff to deliver food and beverages efficiently.
• Maintain thorough menu knowledge to answer guest questions and provide recommendations.
• Ensure tables are cleared and reset quickly, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Support opening and closing duties, including setting up and cleaning dining areas.
