Job summary

Jay Peak is seeking a hands-on Cook 1 to lead food preparation for resort guests. You will help supervise immediate kitchen staff and assist with daily operations to ensure timely, quality meals.

The role requires knife skills, ability to follow safety procedures, and availability nights, weekends, and holidays. ServSafe certification is preferred, with opportunities for growth within the kitchen team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Must have basic knife skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and assist in menu planning.
• Prepare quality food with urgency and consistent presentation.
• Organize production area for daily, weekly, and event service.
• Supervise Cook 2 and Dishwashers.
• Maintain food and labor costs during production.
