Job description

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar in an attractive, organized, clean, and standardized presentation.
  2. Taking inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.
  3. Ordering or purchasing food supplies.
  4. Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
  5. Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups, and other products.
  6. Arranging cold foods such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal.
  7. Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
  8. Wiping up spills.
  9. Removing trash.
  10. Restocking self-service food and supplies as needed.
  11. Washing serving equipment and returning it to storage.
  12. Returning reusable food supplies to storage.
  13. Vacuuming and sweeping carpets and floors.
  14. Mopping floors.
  15. Dusting, brushing, polishing, and vacuuming furniture.
  16. Cleaning room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces (e.g., wall fixtures, window sills, vents) using appropriate cleaners.
  17. Inspecting areas for safety hazards and equipment operating conditions.
  18. Reporting lost & found articles and maintenance issues to supervisor and maintenance.
  19. Providing excellent guest service.
  20. Wearing proper clothing based on company policy and brand standards, including non-slip shoes.
  21. Performing other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
  • One year hostess experience in a restaurant is required.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of health department standards of food sanitation and safety practices.
