Job summary

Highgate is seeking a Breakfast Attendant at Residence Inn Harrisburg, 4480 Lewis Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111. You will provide guests with a courteous, efficient breakfast experience in the hotel's complimentary breakfast area.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, maintaining cleanliness, restocking, assisting with beverage service, and supporting other food and beverage tasks as needed. A high school diploma and the ability to work varying shifts are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform job function with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Willing to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet the legal age to serve alcoholic beverages and satisfactorily pass responsible serving course as required by property.
• Must be able to obtain and provide Food Handlers card as required by city/county/state.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm professional manner.
• Understanding of hotel products and guest services.
• Ability to communicate professionally when answering phones and speaking with guests and team members.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and a desire to be of service to others.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and information provide back-up and support to other team members and respond to guests and co-workers in a positive and optimistic manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a timely, courteous manner.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and uniform.
• Ensure quality control of menus and cleanliness.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables and hotel spaces per instruction.
• Stock, organize, and maintain service areas; complete side work each shift.
• Assist with beverage and food service, including coffee, tea, and dishes.
• Know standards for receiving room service orders and current menus.
• Carry out opening/closing procedures and cashiering as needed.
• Answer questions about the hotel, local area attractions.
• Perform any other duties requested by management.
• Produce high quality drinks and beverage requests as required.
