Job summary

Aloft Portland Airport Hotel is seeking an AM Breakfast Cook to ensure flawless preparation and presentation of the breakfast menu and to deliver an unparalleled guest experience. You will follow recipe cards, return unused items, and operate and clean kitchen equipment in a dynamic, on-site setting.

Be prepared to work in a high-pressure environment with varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do:

Our breakfast cook is responsible for the flawless preparation and presentation of the breakfast menu and for making sure our guests receive an unparalleled breakfast experience. No pressure.

Here are just some of the tasks you’ll be responsible for on a daily basis:

· Prepare food consistent with recipe cards.

· Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas.

· Operate and properly clean cooking and kitchen equipment and supplies.

Where You’ve Been:

You have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year’s experience as a prep line/cook. Most importantly, you’re someone who is capable of thinking on their feet and able to keep up in high-pressure situations. If that sounds like you, go ahead and apply.

When You’re Here:

This probably goes without saying but you’ll be on your feet a lot. There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and working on slippery floors.
