Pay Rate : $15 - $17 / hour (based on experience)

Job Objective :

Prepare and serve high-quality breakfast dishes while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. Ensure guests enjoy a warm, welcoming breakfast experience that starts their day on a positive note.

Key Areas of Responsibility :

Prepare and cook breakfast items consistently and efficiently according to established recipes and presentation standards.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Primary Duties :

Prepare and cook breakfast dishes, including made-to-order items, buffet-style offerings, and other menu items.

Set up and restock food stations with ingredients, condiments, and garnishes.

Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines to maintain consistency and minimize waste.

Ensure proper food handling, storage, and labeling according to safety and sanitation standards.

Assist in receiving and storing kitchen inventory and supplies.

Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including equipment, utensils, and kitchen surfaces.

Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure guest satisfaction and timely food delivery.

Follow opening and closing checklists for the kitchen, assisting in both preparation and clean-up.

Address guest requests and concerns promptly and courteously.

Support other culinary team members and assist in special projects or banquet functions as needed.

Qualifications :

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Team-oriented mindset with a positive and adaptable attitude.

Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Education & Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen, with a focus on breakfast preparation.

Proficiency in basic cooking techniques including grilling, sautéing, steaming, and braising.

Ability to follow recipes and portion guidelines accurately.

Language Skills :

Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Effective communication with team members and guests is essential.

Physical Demands :

Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods.

Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Perform repetitive motions, including bending, twisting, and reaching.

Work in a hot kitchen environment with exposure to commercial cooking equipment.

Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to elevated temperatures and sharp utensils.

Adherence to all safety protocols, including safe handling of kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals.
