Shift: Part Time, AM shift (starts at 4AM or 5AM)

Pay: $16/hour

Located in Grapevine, the Embassy Suites DFW Airport North is a vibrant full-service hotel with 329 suites, 28,000 sq ft of meeting space, complimentary breakfast and evening reception, on-site restaurant, indoor pool, and 24-hour fitness center. Work Performed:

The Cook will:

• Prepare and cook food items for line and cook-to-order breakfast using standardized techniques;
• Assist in opening and closing breakfast service and line prep;
• Prepare food for the next day as required;
• Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment;
• Maintain food safety standards and rotate products;
• Sanitize all kitchen and food areas regularly;
• Learn menus, recipes, and presentation standards;
• Operate dishwashing equipment;
• Manage trash disposal;
• Follow departmental policies and safety procedures;
• Report accidents and unsafe conditions;
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Culinary experience (minimum 6 months)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
• Culinary certification (preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 15 lbs regularly;
• Ability to bend, squat, walk, and stand for long periods;
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
