Job summary

The Lamplighter Restaurant in Delmont, PA is seeking a dedicated line cook responsible for all areas of cooking from prep to plating. All meals are made from scratch.

You will work with the kitchen team to ensure timely, high-quality dishes are plated and served, while preserving standards. This role requires stamina and a willingness to learn new menu items, with a focus on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly learn an extensive menu.
• High accuracy and speed in executing tasks.
• Must study the menu to expedite learning.
• Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Stand for long periods during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation (chopping vegetables, slicing meat/cheese).
• Setting up and stocking stations with supplies.
• Cooking menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff.
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Cleaning up station at the end of the shift.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
