Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Austin Central is seeking an energetic Breakfast Attendant/Cook to start guests' days right and deliver warm, delicious food with a welcoming atmosphere in Austin, TX. Responsibilities include preparing hot and cold breakfast items, setting up buffet stations, greeting guests, monitoring quality and sanitation, and maintaining the breakfast area to Hilton standards.

Prior food service or hospitality experience is preferred, with a guest-first attitude and reliability for early

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food service, kitchen, or hospitality role preferred.
• Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
• Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, guest-first attitude.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (Food Handler Certification a plus).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook hot and cold breakfast items including eggs, meats, pastries, and fresh sides.
• Set up, maintain, and replenish breakfast buffet stations throughout the morning service.
• Greet and assist hotel guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control to meet Hilton brand standards.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, countertops, and dining areas before, during, and after service.
• Track and communicate inventory needs to management to ensure adequate breakfast supplies.
