Job summary

EOS is seeking a Breakfast Attendant for Home2 Suites Tuscaloosa Downtown to stock breakfast items and service ware, assist with clearing tables, and ensure guest satisfaction during the complimentary breakfast period. Responsibilities include preparing foods, replenishing buffet items, serving guests, and maintaining a clean dining area.

Open availability for 1st shift, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods such as cut fruit, coffee, juices, cereals, breads.
• Replenish food on cold lines and buffets and inspect display tables.
• Observe and ask guests about their needs and satisfaction with the food or service.
• Describe and answer questions for guests about menu items, buffet, and daily specials.
• Talk with guests to create a friendly atmosphere and assist with information in the area.
• Stock coffee, juice, milk machines, dry items, china, glass, and utensils.
• Serve items such as water, condiments, and coffee to patrons.
• Set out chafing dishes, steam tables, heat lamps, signs and easels, flowers, newspapers, and self-serve utensils.
• Bus, clear and clean tables as they become available; wash utensils and china.
• Clean spills, remove trash, replenish guest tables and self-serve stations as needed.
• Mop the food service area.

Job description

As a Breakfast Attendant, you would be responsible for stocking food and service ware for breakfast buffets for clearing tables during the complimentary breakfast period to ensure guest satisfaction. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Prepare foods such as cut fruit, coffee, juices, cereals, breads, etc.
• Replenish food on cold lines and buffets as needed and inspect display tables.
• Observe and ask guests about their needs and levels of satisfaction with the food or service.
• Describe and/or answer questions for guests about menu items, the buffet, daily specials, etc.
• Talk with guests in order to create a friendly atmosphere and respond to their questions about attractions or other information in the area.
• Stock coffee, juice, milk machines, dry items, china, glass, silver, etc.
• Serve items such as water, condiments, and coffee to patrons.
• Set out chafing dishes, steam tables, heat lamps, signs and easels, flowers, newspapers, and self-serve utensils.
• Bus, clear and clean tables as they become available, wash utensils, china, etc.
• Clean up spills; remove trash; replenish guest tables and self-service stations as needed.
• Mopping the food service area

This is a full-time, year-round position located at the Home2 Suites Tuscaloosa Downtown. Open availability to work 1st shift is required, including weekends and holidays.
