Job summary

Embassy Suites Laredo is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to prepare the breakfast bar and greet guests in a friendly, brand-aligned manner. You will ensure clean displays, maintain safety standards and support service throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include restocking,Setup, assisting guests, and maintaining cleanliness in breakfast areas. The role may include working holidays and weekends with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic knowledge of English to understand inquiries and give simple instructions.
• Ability to read labels to ensure safe use of products.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment such as a coffee maker.

Responsibilities

• Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from pantry to serving counters.
• Set up attractive food displays and maintain cleanliness to ensure food safety.
• Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths.
• Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry to kitchens for cleaning.
• Clean up spills and remove trash.
• Maintain supplies of items like glassware, dishes, or trays.
• Fill beverage and ice dispensers.
• Stock condiments and refill containers.
• Assist guests by locating items they request.
• Clean and polish counters and floors in pantry or breakfast area.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work to increase satisfaction.
• Practice safe work habits and use required safety equipment.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Embassy Suites Laredo is looking for a Breakfast Attendant to prepare the breakfast bar for hotel guests while greeting and servicing them in a friendly manner consistent with brand and/or hotel and sustainability standards.

Your Focus

• Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from pantry to serving counters.
• Set up attractive food displays and maintain cleanliness to ensure food safety.
• Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths.
• Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
• Clean up spilled food, drink or broken dishes and remove trash.
• Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean glassware, dishes, or trays.
• Fill beverage and ice dispensers.
• Stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.
• Locate and provide items requested by guests.
• Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in pantry or breakfast area and mop or vacuum floors.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Practice safe work habits and use required safety equipment.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
• Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
• Lifting Fifty (30) pounds maximum.
• Constant standing & walking required.
