Job summary

The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs is seeking a dependable Breakfast Attendant at Springhill Suites by Marriott to greet guests and help create a warm morning experience for guests.

Responsibilities include setting up, stocking, cleaning, and assisting guests with requests; candidate must be friendly, detail-oriented, and able to work weekends/holidays in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays (mandatory).
• Fast-paced hospitality environment familiarity.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety and detail.
• Friendly, guest-focused attitude with customer service skills.
• Food handler certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and break down the complimentary breakfast service area.
• Stock, refresh, and present items per Marriott standards.
• Keep dining area, kitchen space, and stations clean.
• Greet guests and handle special requests.
• Inventory breakfast items and communicate needs to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas and lobby.
• Provide BIG service, greet and engage guests positively.
• Develop professional relationships with team, supervisors, staff, guests, and vendors.

JOB SUMMARY:At Springhill Suites by Marriott, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences from the very first meal of the day. We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and guest-focused Breakfast Attendant to join our team and help create a warm and welcoming morning experience for our guests.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up, maintain, and break down the complimentary breakfast service area
• Ensure food items are stocked, fresh, and presented according to Marriott standards
• Maintain cleanliness of dining area, kitchen space, and food service stations
• Greeting guests and accommodates special requests as needed
• Inventory breakfast items regularly; communicate inventory needs to management
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of public areas and lobby
• Other duties as assigned.
• To provide BIG Service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
• The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
• The ability and willingness to ensure that work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
• The ability to work safely. This includes clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shift and staff meetings
• Maintain professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanour throughout the shift.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays (mandatory)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining Marriott brand standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and detail
• Friendly, guest-focused attitude with strong customer service skills
• Food handler certification preferred (or willingness to obtain if required)
• Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
• Must be able to obtain required work cards, and non-gaming registration as required by the local jurisdiction.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass all required pre-employment requirement checks.
