Job summary

Home2 Suites Effingham is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to oversee the hotel’s morning service, prepare and serve made-to-order items, and ensure guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met.

You will work in the breakfast or reception area, with flexible scheduling as needed, and provide friendly guest assistance while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability in a fast-paced hospitality environment and a strong guest-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble the breakfast service before mealtime and disassemble afterward.
• Keep the breakfast area stocked and clean throughout service.
• Clear cutlery and crockery from guests' tables as needed.
• Receive beverage orders and coordinate with kitchen staff when required.
• Provide information and assistance to guests and vendors.
• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and guest experience from start to finish.

As a Breakfast Attendant, you are responsible for the overall success of the Hotel's breakfast service and ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met. The role of the Breakfast Attendant is to be a key person of reference for guests while preparing and serving made to order food and beverage products in the hotel breakfast or reception area.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

• Cooking and assembling the breakfast service before mealtime and disassembling it thereafter
• Ensuring the breakfast service space remains well-stocked at all times
• Clearing cutlery and crockery from customers' tables
• Receiving beverage orders and directing them to the kitchen, as needed
• Provide information and assistance to all guests and vendors
• Cleaning and sanitizing tables, countertops, and floors after each meal service
• Ensuring a wonderful experience from beginning to end while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness

The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors.
