  • Assist with infant care including feeding, diapering, and soothing.
  • Support potty training efforts in toddler and preschool classrooms.
  • Help supervise nap time and ensure a calm, safe environment.
  • Assist with meal and snack times following CACFP guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in classrooms; support classroom management and positive behavior guidance.
  • Help with playground supervision.
  • Communicate professionally with staff and families as needed.
  • Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies.

Position Summary

Northstar Preschools is seeking a dependable, flexible, and nurturing Breaker/Support Teacher to assist in classrooms serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. This position plays a vital role in maintaining smooth daily operations by providing staff breaks, assisting with daily routines, and supporting classrooms wherever needed.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and confident working with a variety of age groups. This role requires someone who thrives in a team environment and understands the importance of consistency and structure for young children.

Responsibilities
  • Provide scheduled breaks and coverage for classroom teachers
