Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a Bagger for the 2nd shift to operate a bagging line, verify labels and weights, and ensure products pass through the metal detector for release. The role supports production goals and safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include labeling accuracy, bag stacking, label usage, machine cleanliness, and reporting any equipment issues or shortages to supervision. The work environment involves exposure to odors and dust in production areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge about manufacturing food preferred.
• Able to communicate well verbally and in writing, with good math skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs continuously.

Responsibilities

• Ensure batch numbers and product codes on labels match the product being dumped.
• Ensure metal detector is in good working condition.
• Stack bags neatly on skids as required and on the correct skid color.
• Return any unused labels to the operator for recording.
• Clean machine and work area as required.
• Detect any malfunction of metal detector and rollers and report to supervisor.
• Comply with all safety requirements and company policies.
• Report shortages to the lead operator.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Summary:
The Bagger position is required to operate a bagging machine to properly fill bags with product, ensure proper labeling and weight, and ensure bags successfully pass through a metal detector before leaving the bagging area. The position may also be required to perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or the department manager

Essential Functions:

• Ensure batch numbers and product code on the labels match with the product been dumped
